Active Media Products (AMP) recently announced the release of a new series of Solid State Drives (SSD) called AMP SaberTooth ZT.
The new AMP SaberTooth ZT SSD is built upon a MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory technology. It has 1.8-inch form factor and designed for use in ultraportable computers and netbooks.
Now, AMP SaberTooth ZT SSD is coming in 32GB and 64GB capacities. The transer speeds are upto 100 MB/s for read and 85 MB/s for write. The AMP SaberTooth ZT SSD features a 32MB buffer for 32GB model and 64MB buffer for 64GB model and packs a ZIF connector and PATA interface.
According to AMP, this SSD consumes less than 2.6 watts in operating mode and 0.85 watts in idle mode. It is compatible with Windows, Linux and MAC OS X as well. The dimensions of AMP SaberTooth ZT SSD are 71x54x5 mm.
